Days 31 - 40 of My 100 Day Project - (With Video Flip-Through)
Day 31:
Cherry pie - working through a class with @amystewart on Skillshare. She does a brilliant job explaining and working us through the process. 🥧
Day 33:
Sketching the artificial rosemary on my art table with watercolors, pencils, crayons and pens. 🪴
Day 34:
Loose sketching with my new Sailor Fude De Mannen Fountain Pen with the 55-degree nib. I LOVE it! ❤️ The fact I can quickly do a thin or thick line...no wonder sketchers like this pen. Sketched some glass bottles I recently purchased - blind contour and regular sketches.
Day 35:
Avocado sketches with pen, pencils, and watercolors.
Day 36:
Keeping with the food theme, we have blueberries. 🫐 I tried different methods for creating these berries with crayons, pens, pencils and watercolors. These aren’t berry leaves, but I wanted to play a little and thought the page needed some green. 😊
If you’d like to see how I approached these blueberries, I’ve shared a short video on Youtube where I create a new page and explore four different ways to sketch and paint them using watercolor and pen.
It’s a simple, relaxed exploration—trying the same subject a few different ways and seeing how each approach changes the feel.
I’m still very much learning as I go, so this isn’t about doing it “right”… just about experimenting and following my curiosity.
Days 37 & 38:
Sketching the kitchen per @jennymuncaster. I saw Jenny’s video on Instagram and decided to give it a go. I opted for watercolor for mine.
Days 39 & 40:
More items from the kitchen per Jenny Muncaster’s video on Instagram. So, I guess the hot sauce is pretty hot because it looks like the bottle is on fire. 🔥
I rather like the wonky grape juice bottle. I messed up the wording for “Welch’s” so I cut a small piece of paper and glued it over and rewrote it. I actually like it better than if it had worked out the first time. 🍇
Curious to see what happens next?
