100 Days of Creative Drifting: A Sketching Practice
100 Days of Creative Drifting
A sketching practice
For my 10th year of the 100 Day Project, I’m focusing on sketching—something that feels a little unfamiliar and a little vulnerable for me.
Rather than working in one sketchbook or medium, I’m creatively drifting between tools, surfaces, and approaches as a way to practice without pressure. Some days it’s simple pencil on paper. Other days it’s ink or marks on scraps already sitting on my desk.
This gallery is a record of that daily practice—experiments, discoveries, and playful sketches—shared as they unfold over 100 days.
Preparation
My prep for this project was simple and intentional: organizing my tools by color instead of type, and spending time testing different papers to see how they respond to various mediums.
The papers I loved are within easy reach; the rest were set aside. The goal wasn’t to plan the work—just to create a space that feels inviting and ready for exploration.
