Day 11:

I experimented a little with paper too. Watercolor paper definitely gives better results…but honestly, I still love my cheap sketchbook. It’s less precious and easier to just play.

Day 12:

These sketches came straight from my worktable. Funny how everyday tools become interesting once you slow down and really look.

Day 13:

These pages turned into a little study session of watercolor swatches and line experiments with a few different pens and pencils. Working through a class with Yvonne Morell.

Day 14:

Some sketches of simple containers and jars painted with watercolor and pencils.

Day 15:

One simple bottle. Loose lines, soft watercolor, and a few splatters for good measure.

Day 16 & 17:

Sketching with Nathalia Velásquez @puapualena via her Patreon.

Day 18:

A few flowers, some leafy bits… and then I wandered into sketching a little jar and a few tea bags. That’s the drifting part of this project! Sketching with Nathalia Velásquez @puapualena via her Patreon and Viola Hortová via her Patreon.

Day 19:

Sketching art supplies... Watercolor palette, paint tubes, brush, pen and water jar.

Day 20:

Pot of flowers…pen and watercolors.

📝 Nathalia Velásquez: Check out Nathalia’s Patreon for lots of sketching inspiration. During her live sessions, I have really enjoyed the timed sketching. It is challenging but fun to limit yourself to short sketching times. See her Youtube and Instagram for lots of inspiration.
