100 Days of Making: Process Video – Weeks 12 & 13
Weeks 12 & 13 Recap
Somehow, we’re already deep into Weeks 12 and 13 of the 100 Days of Making. And if you’ve been with me this whole time—cheering me on, creating your own art, or just peeking in now and then—thank you. Truly.
At this point, I’m still making, still showing up, and yes… still stitching tiny things. But I’m also feeling that sweet momentum of nearing the finish line.
This week, I decided to try something different: I filmed a short process video of one of my EmbellishBits. You can see the full video below (or [link here] if you're reading via email), and I walk you through exactly how one of these little layered pieces comes together—thread, scraps, second-guessing and all.

Q&A with Myself (Because Why Not?)
Here’s a quick round of questions people might wonder at this point in the project (or things I’d ask another artist if I were watching from the outside):
Q: Are you still using the same materials from the beginning?
Mostly, yes. I’ve stuck to a core stash of papers, fabric scraps, and thread—but I’ve also allowed myself to add in bits I’ve found along the way. That’s been part of the fun—seeing what shifts. The main thing I’ve done is incorporate past art into my pieces. It is satisfying to repurpose art into something new.
Q: Do you have a favorite EmbellishBit you’ve made so far?
Actually, I have already pulled around 15 pieces that I plan to keep. I am working on how I might frame a few of them. 😊
Q: What’s your go-to tool for these pieces?
I’ve kept this year easy. Scissors, needle, thread and of course my Pritt Stick glue stick.
Q: Have you learned anything surprising this round?
This year, I had a lot of travel planned during the project. I allowed myself to be a lot more laid back about creating. I did not stress over days or weeks of time away from the project. I just jumped in when I was able and kept to my goal to finish 100 pieces of art.
Week Thirteen
Almost There
With just a couple weeks left, I’m trying not to rush—or check out early. This has been one of those projects where the joy is in the showing up, not the grand finale.
Thanks for being here, and I hope the video gives you a little creative nudge to keep going with whatever you’re working on—big or small.
