I am often asked about the sewing machine that I use. I have a Brother CS8060 that I bought many years ago and it was very inexpensive. I like it because it is light weight (I even put it in a carry-on bag once when I attended an art retreat in California) and has an automatic threading cartridge. This one "really" does thread the needle. The thread goes into the cartridge and then you place it into the machine at (top left), push down and voila - the needle has been threaded.
I don't use special needles when sewing paper and I just make sure I get it serviced once every year or two to keep it working smoothly.
Have a blessed day!
