Art for Your Feet: Artist Designed Birkenstocks

For many years I have been a proponent of leveraging your art and doing more with the things you create. I scan my work to make collage papers, tags, fabrics and more. I suppose it was just a matter of time before shoes became part of the mix.
I’m pretty excited to share that two of my art designs are now available for a limited run as Birkenstocks. Whoo! Hoo!
The first style, which is multi-colored florals is called Garden Party and features a design created from one of my art journal pages.
So cool huh?
The second style, which is floral with saturated greens and yellows is called Sunshine Steps. This was a digital design I created from several pieces of my scanned art.

Here’s a little art journal inspiration. Collage is a big part of my process and making copies of my work to use in additional projects can be seen here. The page on the right is a color copy of a watercolor piece I painted. It has shown up in many other things…maybe even those Birkenstocks. 😂
