What is The 100 Day Project?
The 100 Day Project is a free, global art project. Every year, thousands of people all around the world commit to 100 days of exploring their creativity. Anyone can join. The idea is simple: choose a project, do it every day for 100 days, and share your process on Instagram with the hashtag #The100DayProject and #DoThe100DayProject.
The 100 Day Project (10th Annual) starts February 22, 2023. It is also recommended that you create your own unique hashtag that is relevant to what you are doing and add it to all your posts on Instagram.
What is my theme in 2023?
This year will be my seventh year participating in The 100 Day Project. My inspiration comes from a trip last year where I taught at the Sacred Maker Soul Retreat at Squam Lake in New Hampshire. I was exposed to the art of slow stitching and was intrigued by how I might add in painted papers and other mediums I enjoy. So, this year I will be doing 100 Days of Paper, Fabric and Stitching (#100daysofpapertextilestitch) with the intention of creating books, clips, mini collages and more. I really think this will be fun, inspiring and will challenge me.

With textile, paper, and stitch in hand
I'll create art that's simply grand
A Hundred Days, I'll take the quest
Of crafting beauty, with nothing less.
From scraps of cloth and paper hues,
My creativity I will infuse
With every stitch, a story told
Of beauty, grace, so bold.
With needle and thread, I'll stitch with glee
A work of art, oh so wild and free
And when the journey finally ends
A tapestry, my heart ascends.
So let the journey now begin
Of textiles, paper, and stitching grin
A Hundred Days, a work of art
A story told, with love and heart.
