Ben & Jerry's Upcycled...

It all started when I saw that all the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream flavors were on clearance at Target. Self-control did not prevail and I ended up bringing home Karamel Sutra!  EEK!  So, a couple of days later I finished the pint while I was sewing.  I then found myself dropping threads and small pieces of trash into the empty container.  Then it hit me, why not spruce it up and continue to use it!?

Have a  blessed day!

Start with an empty and cleaned ice cream container.

I glued scraps of stained paper towels all around the outside with matte medium.  You could use old book papers, tissue paper or other types of light-weight papers.

Once dry, I brushed clear gesso to the outside.

Once dry, I brushed white gesso (white acrylic would do) on a few spots.

I used India Ink to stamp letters onto a piece of muslin and then glued it to the outside of the container with gel medium.

I then used India Ink to stamp some doodles to the outside (I used Journal Impressions from Paperbag Studios).
