Remains of the Day Journal...
Yesterday my art friend, Sandi and I got together to make stuff! I am taking the Remains of the Day Journal class with Mary Ann Moss and decided to work on my cover. I will work on the inside pages next. Mary Ann is a great instructor and she is lots of fun! Check out her blog HERE!
I am pretty new to working with fabric and I am finding that I really like adding fabric to my work. I learned a few things while creating my covers for this journal and would like to share those here:
•I had to raise the tension when using the Free Motion Foot. When the tension was sent on the lower level, the bobbin thread bunched up underneath!
•Sewing quickly while using the Free Motion Foot worked best.
•Triple check to make sure that the 'right' sides are sewn together.
Kira and I will begin a new week of our Points of Two Project. If you want to play along, we will be journaling about this year and what we want to accomplish! We will post our layouts on Friday!
Have a blessed day!
