I should have done this in my original post, so I want to give a shout out to Rae Missigman for inspiring me to get my quilts out and use them to create this journal. Rae makes an array of beautiful things from bags and pillows to journal covers. Want something more custom...just ask! She also offers workshops. Check out her Etsy store HERE!

Lovely way to breathe new life into tattered quilts!
BEautiful I have to buy a cheaper sewing machine I don't want to use my nice one and I end up not doing anything
Oh Roben-Marie, I love the vintage journal cover. Now I need to add that (or something similar) to my list of things to do. Do you have any directions for making one written down?
I guess you know I am a quilter now. I have a mystery quilt I've been working on to get done by November and also we were given a brown lunch bag full of scraps, some pretty large, to make a cuddle quilt out of, and that is also due in November. I love quilting, but stamping will always be my favorite passtime, I think. I just sort of do one, then the other.
Have a great day.
Your good..I don't think I could ever cut into an old quilt. I love covering my books with fabric. The cover came out great. Hugs Deb
This is so very pretty
would LOVE to see how you put this together if you don't mind sharing!
