A Completed Painting...
Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 3:39PM ...maybe!

24 x 24 - Number 19
I started this canvas in Flora Bowley's Blooming True workshop and put it aside for awhile. Of all places, I hung it up in our weight room. I looked at it regularly and it never "spoke" to me. Each time I looked at it I was reminded that I didn't like it and had no clue what to do with it. Last month, I took Tracy Verdugo's Paint Mojo workshop and when I got home I decided it was time to take a look at this canvas again.
Is it finished? I am not completely sure and might add more to it later but at least I made enough progress to say that I am happy with where it is now. I like that I can revisit it later if I choose.
Have a blessed day!

Well it looks done to me and I love it!! Beautiful!!
roben, i loooove it, love everything about it. to me it looks finished, but then you never know when a new inspiration might hit!!! and i think in your weight room is a great place for it. when you think you are past going you can just look over at it and it will perk you up and get you going again.
Roben- Marie! I love it. If you don't have a place for it IDO!.
Roben-Marie, this is gorgeous!!! Pinning it :)
i think its finished and i think its BEAUTIFUL!
stunning!
I totally love it---the only thing that it could 'maybe' use is more of that purply-magenta color. Just a suggestion, but it's already GORGEOUS! :)
I love this! It is full of movement and life, and while I see Flora's influence, the colors and marks are so you.
This is awesome! I see the Flora influence but its completely your style! Just beautiful!
I love it. I still haven't done anything further with my painting from Tracy's class, but I have it leaning up against the wall in our great room so I can keep looking at it...waiting for some inspiration!
roben-marie, when i saw this painting, i thought of flora bowley immediately. i just finished listening to you on julie's podcast. it was through your points of two collaboration with kira that i discovered your blog as well. i like what you said, about continuing to grow with your art, what to share, and your choice to focus on creating rather than processing business. have a merry christmas! :)
