Trying to be good, making stuff and ambition...
Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 8:23PM Hello, Friends! As this new year begins, I am at a place where I want to make some decisions about my art and business. I need more focus in 2012 so I can find more joy and accomplishment in my work. I am asking myself: What do I want to do? What are the things I won't do. How do I feel about what I create and why do I "fear" spending time in the studio creating? As I find answers to these questions and more, I am sure my path will become clearer and with that I hope loads of inspiration will come. Thanks for your support over the years and I look forward to sharing an artful and productive 2012 with you!

there are some very helpful ideas, & information links. that is a really good video, full of truth & wisdom. it seems obvious, but it wasn't to me. i'm the kind that needs things spelled out for them. well that video did some spelling. happy new year roben-marie! :)

Thank you for those fabulous links, Roben-Marie! I hope that 2012 will bring new online classes here! Hehehe! Love your classes!
Great video. Really gets you thinking. I find your work very inspiring and know that I'm not at the place that I want to be! But I hope to get there eventually! My struggle is just juggling this life: working 50 hours a week outside the home and raising a family while trying to pursue my art. THAT is my biggest challenge. I've yet to find the balance.
Thank you for sharing. I always have the feeling of doubt and reassessing my abilities and talents and pathway is the best way to get back in touch with myself and what I really want to do, be, whatever it is. I really focused on the video with the words flipping all over as that is often how I feel. A fresh new year brings a new beginning and a fresh slate to explore and create. I welcome 2012 and all it has to offer. Thank you Roben-Marie for always being an inspiration to me. Blissful and Creative 2012 to you dear with happy hugs...

Just got a chance to watch the video and I am glad I did. Thanks for sharing.
Love this clip! Great reminder that no one starts out perfect! Reminds me of the youtube video by Lynn Whipple where she talks about creating 100 bad paintings until you get better!
