Crafter's Workshop Blog Hop With Julie Balzer...

I was thrilled to be asked by the amazing, Julie Balzer to be a part of her blog hop!  Be sure to visit Julie's blog and The Crafter's Workshop to see all of her stencil designs.  Today's blog hop group is featuring the If You Believe and Trust Your Heart Stencils. I decided to create three art journal pages, using these stencils in three different ways.  Be sure to visit the other blogs for lots of creative inspiration!!

For this journal page, I placed the stencil onto a piece of newspaper and painted it with black acrylic paint.  I then used an exacto knife to trim around the letters.

Various supplies used: gesso, modeling paste, Canson blank journal, Pilot Pen, Golden acrylic paint, Trust Your Heart stencil, handmade heart stencil,  Adirondack Colorwash inks, Tumble Tie Dye spray inks and punchanella.

For this journal page, I placed the stencil onto the page and spritz it with ink and once dry, I scribbled the letters with a pen to make them pop!

Various supplies used: gesso, modeling paste, Canson blank journal, Pilot Pen, Golden acrylic paint, Trust Your Heart stencil, handmade heart stencil, Zinnia Stencil, Sunburst Stencil, Adirondack Colorwash inks, Tumble Tie Dye spray inks and punchanella.

For this journal page, I placed the stencil onto the page and smeared modeling paste over it.  Once the paste was dry, I painted inside the recesses with the Stabilo ALL pencil and watercolor brush.

Various supplies used: gesso, modeling paste, Canson blank journal, Pilot Pen, Golden acrylic paint, Trust Your Heart stencil, Mini Mosaic Square stencil, Giant Circles stencil,  Adirondack Colorwash inks, Tumble Tie Dye spray inks and punchanella.

roben-marie what innovative ideas!. the scribbling with pen over the inked title, the modeling paste over stenci,l then adding the paint in the recesses, lastly the way you trimmed out the letters. all your pages look fantastic! i'm excited to get my spray inks, from the art goods shop. i have 3 new stencil techniques to try. :)http://honeybeelane.blogspot.com/
