"Grow" Mini Quilt...

I was so inspired by Jenny Doh's free motion quilt that I had to make one of my own.  I used a flour sack for the base, which was difficult to work with.  Next time I will add some interfacing to make it easier. I still need to practice my free motion stitching and found that working on separate pieces and adding them to the finished piece was a little less intimidating.  If I messed up, I didn't ruin the whole piece.

Have a  blessed day!

The text that is stitched to the bottom of the quilt is from an acetate story collage sheet by Artchix Studio. It is available in The Shoppe at Somerset.
