Points of Two - Week 35...
Friday, September 10, 2010 at 12:00PM
Hello and welcome to week thirty-five of the Points of Two Project! This week the focus was on repetition. The challenge was to create a journal page that incorporated the repetition of something. I chose "three" houses and "five" cardboard squares.
Have a blessed day!

Materials: Bristol 400 Strathmore paper, Adirondack Color Wash Spray Inks, Goldens and Liquitex Acrylic Paint, White China Marker, Old Paper, Tag Strings, Ledger Paper, Card Board and Masking Tape.

Another amazing page!! Was that an acrylic paint and water mix that you "spray-painted" on the page?
Hey, Ashlyn!
Your e-mail was not included in your comment so I am answering here. I used acrylic paint for the first colors and then added water. The ones I sprayed on are Adirondack Color Wash Spray Inks.
Cool video and process - thanks for sharing. What pens do you use? And what was the white pencil looking thing? It reminded me of an eraser I used in school but yours wrote in white. Thanks for sharing - love to see your process!
Hey, Roben:
Thanks for the info! The paints reminded me of Golden's Liquid Acrylics. I only own two colors at the moment, but they are wonderful. And as for the spray inks, I thought that might have been what you used, but I couldn't see the bottles very well in the video. Micheal's sells those and I thought about getting them to try out since I love Adirondack's Alcohol Inks so much. :)
Loved the video, completely fascinating to watch. Thanks for sharing.
The part where you are trying to get water out of the bottle, onto you brush, cracked me up, it's a classic. How many times have I done that? Many, so silly.
Great stuff. Beautiful work.
amazing page, thanks for this lesson, I enjoyed to see your Process..... have a nice day
Just visited your blog for the first time and I love it! Great artwork. And I really enjoyed the video - it's so helpful to see someone actually putting a piece together. I'll be watching more of the videos and stopping by your blog again!
This is a great page - I really love it. And thanks for sharing your process - it's fascinating to watch :-)
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS love your videos - and all your other work too of course. Just thought I should let you know - I am a bit slack with finding time to write comments, but a faithful follower of your blog none-the-less!! Have a great day.
I love watching how you did this page...thanks for sharing!
Roben Marie, it is always a joy watching you create!
Blessings!
