When I was younger I wanted to be a writer. I loved to read and I believe this desire stemmed from the enjoyment I received while reading a good story. I wanted to make things up and tell stories, too. I did write while in my teens and early twenties. I was the editor of my college literary magazine, published some poetry and a couple of short stories. I even won a creative writing contest in college for a short story I wrote. Maybe if I gain the courage I will share something here later.
Anyway, that brings me to the inspiration for this journal page. I was sitting at a stop light serveral days ago and glanced down at my car keys. And like most moments of inspiration, they come quickly and at the wierest of times. My thought went something like this...she noticed it for the first time. It was a strange looking silver key hanging from her keychain. She touched the key and was puzzled by its presence. It was small and a bit worn with a blue star on one side. Where had it come from she thought to herself?
So, I decided to remember this thought by adding it to a journal page...just capturing daily life!
